Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Northern Virginia

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods in a growing, dynamic unit. This role involves collaborating with a team that includes OB Hospitalists, Neonatology providers, Lactation Consultants, and NICU staff, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery
• Assist in vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Participate in inductions and OB ED triage
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide postpartum care and support to mothers

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: ALS, BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring, C-EFM
• Must possess a valid RN license
