Registered Behavior Technician Academy (School Based), Behavioral Health

Role Overview Start a career and shape futures as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with BAYADA Behavioral Health. Begin as a Behavior Technician Trainee and complete our RBT Academy in just a few weeks. Work directly with students in school‑based settings on Oahu, supporting local school districts and reducing challenging behaviors while fostering independence. Responsibilities Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan. Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams, respecting client and family values. Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support students. Document interventions and progress toward goals. Collect behavior data as specified in the client behavior plan. Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help students acquire and meet identified goals. Support clients in interpersonal skills, development, and independence in school routine. Support school‑aged children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Qualifications At least 18 years of age. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR High School Diploma/GED with passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available).
