Technical Sale Specialist (San Diego or Orange County Based)

Leading global manufacturer seeking a Technical Sales Specialist "hunter" to sell water filtration products and solutions throughout Life Sciences Laboratories based on the West Coast. In this role the TSS will be supporting the West Coast Channel Sales Managers selling a portfolio of water purification systems in collaboration, through a key distributor and direct to customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with Channel Sales Managers to sell water filtration products and solutions to end user (Life Science Laboratories)
• Partner with distributor sales representatives to sell products and solutions to end user (Life Science Laboratories)
• Identify key targets and conduct joint and individual sales calls to close business.
• Drive revenue growth by identifying product solutions, matching products to customer needs and minimizing competitive losses.
• Build and strategically manage relationships with new and existing customers
• Establish yourself as a trusted expert through mastering product knowledge and differentiating our solutions from the competition.
• Develop and execute detailed account plans including understanding customer goals, business objectives, and corresponding strategies.
• Leverage Company's CRM software, manage multiple, complex sales processes from initial contact through receipt of purchase order, training and beyond.
• Participate in conferences, meetings, trade shows and other growth initiatives to generate sales leads and increase awareness of company product lines.

Key Attributes/Requirements:

• 5 years sales experience, preferably distribution/manufacturing in Life Sciences.
• Proven new business closer 3+ years exceeding quota in hunter/new business development sales roles.
• Large territory expertise Skilled in managing multi-state regions and prioritizing high-value targets
• Consultative seller Adept at uncovering customer needs and presenting tailored solutions.
• Strong closer & negotiator Documented track record moving deals from prospect to win.
• Self-driven & resilient Thrives in autonomous, competitive environments.
• Excellent communicator Builds strong relationships with decision-makers; confident presenter.
• Knowledge and understanding of strategic, corporate and product messages
• Knowledge of standard manufacturing and business tools, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to build long-term strategic and executive-level relationships.
• Strong closing and relationship skills.
• Ability to apply and articulate a customer value proposition
• Experience partnering with and working with distributor reps to ensure your products are at the forefront of their day to day sales.
• Ability to translate technical product knowledge to both technical and non-technical customers.
• Ability to develop, manage and measure business plans and strategies.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional level presentation skills
• Additional Qualifications:
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Business, Biology, Life Science or related field and 2-5 years' selling experience in the life sciences, laboratory or in vivo research/vivarium industry, or a combination of both.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution sales a plus
• Experience working within a matrix sales environment
• Willingness to travel to visit clients and prospects is required.
• Valid drivers license
