The team fosters innovation and drives engineering workflows of the future, shared solutions and standards, simplicity and lower costs, and manufacturable design.As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will build and test avionics hardware to support various aspects of spacecraft development and qualification. In this role, you will have impact on many different aspects of spaceflight vehicle development and production!We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Building wire harness/cable assemblies (primary responsibility - at least 90% of daily work)Troubleshooting and repairing electronic assembliesIntegrating avionics and ground support hardware into the software and hardware test bedsSupporting system testingMinimum Qualifications:2+ years of experience with assembling cable harnesses2+ years of experience in assembly of avionics, medical devices, or other similar safety-critical fieldsAbility to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and written assembly proceduresExperience with common hand tools, such as torque wrenches and screw driversProficient in the use of basic electronic lab test equipment, such as power supplies and handheld multimetersUnderstanding of ESD prevention and controlsGood understanding of basic electronics theory – voltage, resistance, currentBasic digital literacy and familiarity with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, etc)Ability to follow written assembly proceduresAbility to learn new skills quicklyGood written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical and organizational skills, attention-to-detail, and desire for continuous improvementAbility to thrive as a member of a collaborative teamPreferred Qualifications:2-year Associates degree in electrical or electronic engineering technologyCurrent or expired certifications in PCBA inspection (IPC-A-610), harness assembly (IPC/WHMA-A-620), soldering (J-STD-001), PCBA rework (IPC-7711/7721)Experience with 5S or LEAN Six SigmaExperience with hipot harness testersExperience with potting connectorsExperience with high voltage systems or NFPA 70E trainingExperience with ANSI-ESD-S20.20Experience with AS9100Base Pay Range for:WA applicants is $29.91 - $41.87Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
