his outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant opportunity is based in Ruther Glen, Virginia, a welcoming community known for its relaxed, small-town feel and convenient access to both Richmond and Fredericksburg. Patients may include individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-operative orthopedic cases, work-related injuries, and those with chronic pain or mobility limitations. As a PTA in this setting, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatment that supports each patients functional goals and return to activity.Typical responsibilities include implementing treatment plans prescribed by the PT, progressing therapeutic exercises, providing patient and family education, assisting with manual techniques within PTA scope, and monitoring patient response to interventions. You will be responsible for timely, accurate documentation of all patient visits, active participation in team huddles or case conferences, and ongoing communication with the PT and broader care team to ensure coordinated care.A typical day may involve managing a steady but reasonable caseload of scheduled outpatient visits, with appointment lengths designed to allow for meaningful one-on-one care and appropriate documentation time. The caseload is generally composed of a mix of post-surgical patients, general orthopedics, and active individuals seeking to return to work, sport, or daily activities. Patient volume and ratios are structured to support quality care and a focus on functional outcomes, while meeting clinic productivity expectations.Shifts are generally daytime, weekday hours aligned with outpatient clinic operations, with potential for some extended hours based on patient needs and clinic scheduling. The clinic environment emphasizes collaboration, ongoing learning, and a supportive culture where PTs and PTAs work closely together, sharing knowledge and best practices. This offers a strong platform for professional development, exposure to diverse patient presentations, and the opportunity to build confidence and expertise in outpatient practice.The facility is designed to support modern outpatient rehabilitation, with treatment areas that may include private treatment rooms, open gym space, and access to therapeutic exercise and functional training equipment. Required Qualifications
Physical Therapist Assistant, Outpatient

License and OP experience are required

Preferred Qualifications
