Position Summary The Infusion Referral Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office. You will support medical staff and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.

Schedule - (10 hour days)  Monday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday and Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM 
Hourly Rate - $23/hour - $25 hour DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assists nurses with obtaining patient orders, office visit notes, and labs from outside provider offices
• Act as point of contact for stake holders
• Interview patients for case histories prior to appointments
• Update and maintain patients’ health records
• Assist patients with initial paperwork
• Schedule and coordinate appointments
• Process insurance claims in compliance with law requirements
• Use medical software to support all transactions
• Manage receivable and payable accounts and maintain financial records
• Answer patients’ queries and ensure quality customer service
• Collaborate with doctors and nurses to help with schedule tests and order supplies
• Ensure compliance with procedure
• Keep up to date with changes in medical and insurance legislation
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

 

• Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience and/or training in similar medical practice/field
• Infusion office experience highly preferred
• High school diploma: certification in medical administration is a plus
• Experience accessing Electronic Medical Records (prior authorizations, claims, and scheduling)
• Experience in Inventory Management
• Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive)
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
