Spirit of the position The Facilities Manager oversees the operations of location(s), under the direction of the Operations Manager to ensure 24/7 professional parking management. The Facilities Manager will support programs and initiatives from our home office and help meet individual needs of their operational teams throughout their assigned location(s). Principal job duties Lead, direct, and develop a team of employees at assigned location(s). Identifying high potential employees to support the organization's continued growth. Responsible for payroll processing; ensuring sign off on hours in a timely manner; collaborate with the payroll department to ensure pay data is completed properly; work with Human Resources Business Partner to ensure proper wage and hour compliance. Responsible for executing the plan for the opening of newly assigned location(s). Responsible for financial management of assigned locations ensuring adherence to budget and revenue enhancements. Meet with Director twice weekly to discuss current team performance, disciplinary actions, highlight/rave those who are succeeding, game plan for the upcoming week, look at data and trends to make decisions in the field to advance the operation. Work directly with our recruiter to make sure staffing levels are accurately communicated and holes are being filled with the best talent available. Recruit, interview, hire and train Valet Attendants. Conduct monthly all-staff training. Have a full understanding of Audit Requirements and lead within those guidelines. Use Flash Valet and Business Intelligence to track performance and make decisions based on findings. Perform a monthly inventory check of all equipment and note any damaged or missing items to Director to investigate or replace. Conduct daily/weekly safety audits to ensure the facility is safe and ready for our team, customers and clients. Communicate any issues to proper departments in a timely manner for remediation. Help lead various projects that the client may have us complete to better manage the operation or expand into new areas. Organize and narrate parking management skills for Team Leaders and Valet Attendants. Understand, implement, and deliver all requirements that are outlined within the contractual agreement between LAZ Parking and our clients. Assist the region with the operations preparation for potential new locations including rate surveys, ticket pulls, etc. Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual financial and operational reports as required. Ensuring that increased revenue, managed expenses, and customer satisfaction is maximized by maintaining the highest level of service standards and initiatives that are aligned with the expectations of our various clients. Managing, planning, scheduling, coaching, directing and developing the activities of Team Leaders and Valet Attendants which may require compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements. Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of assigned location(s). Communicate with local police department and emergency management teams regarding operations when necessary. Assist with the monitoring, review, and analysis of the market rate structures. Additional related duties as assigned. Education and qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Valid driver's license for at least 2 years with a clean driving record. Experience 1+ year in a Management or Leadership role. Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and general Microsoft Office applications. Parking management experience is preferred but not required. Experience working with financial statements/accounting, P&L reports and budgeting. Ability to be flexible in schedule in order to meet operational needs. This may require occasionally working outside of regularly scheduled hours. Skills Unmatched commitment to coaching and development of your team. Excellent interpersonal skills and very approachable. Physical Demands Willingness to work in the elements - heat, cold, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours). Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
