Maintenance And Operations Supervisor

Demonstrate support of the Antioch Community Consolidated School District 34's Strategic Framework. Uphold the established Board of Education policies, regulations, and administrative procedures. Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of all district buildings and grounds. Supervise, evaluate, motivate, and develop maintenance, custodial, and grounds personnel. Plan, schedule, and oversee construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects. Develop and manage the buildings and grounds budget, allocating resources and controlling costs. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations and standards related to building and grounds maintenance. Coordinate the upkeep and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers, including bidding and procurement activities. Respond to facility-related emergencies occurring throughout the district 24/7. Maintain confidentiality of district records, staff information, and program documentation. Communicate and cooperate with colleagues, students, parents/guardians, and the community as needed to meet professional standards. Participate in meetings and perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent or designee in accordance with the Board of Education. Utilize time management techniques to organize and prioritize work. Regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job. Knowledge and basic trade skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, and glazing. Knowledge of and ability to operate machine tools and maintenance vehicles. Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical repair. Knowledge of roof maintenance and repair. Knowledge of effective grounds maintenance practices. Ability to bid on supplies, services, and materials. Ability to establish a regular schedule of preventative maintenance for buildings, grounds, and vehicles. Skills in interviewing, hiring, and evaluating employees. High school diploma (minimum).
