Job Summary Deputy Attorney General, OAG, Criminal Law Division – Appellate (ID# 23987) Full‑time position, salary commensurate with experience, starting at $90,000. Location: Boise, Idaho. Start date to be determined upon hire. Primary Duties Conduct legal research and prepare briefs for criminal appeals. Present oral arguments before the Idaho Supreme Court and Idaho Court of Appeals. Consult on criminal cases handled by the Criminal Law Division and offer expertise in related matters. Review legislation, serve on criminal law committees, and complete other related tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Licensed to practice law in Idaho. Excellent research, writing, and word processing skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as a prosecutor or judicial law clerk. Writing sample reflecting only the applicant’s own work or lightly edited. At least two references who can speak to legal writing abilities. Law school transcripts if applicant has less than five years of experience.
