Electrical Engineer

Actalent is hiring for an Electrical Engineer II (Medical Device) in the Plano, TX areaThe Manufacturing Electrical Engineer II will support manufacturing operations through the development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical test systems, automated equipment, and manufacturing processes. This individual will collaborate closely with production, quality, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure product quality, equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with applicable quality system requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical engineering experience, as well as experience supporting manufacturing environments.ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day manufacturing operations by troubleshooting electrical and automated production equipment.Develop, maintain, and optimize electrical test systems and manufacturing processes.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and productivity.Collaborate with Production, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.Analyze equipment and process performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.Assist in root cause investigations and implement sustainable solutions.Ensure manufacturing equipment and processes comply with quality system and regulatory requirements.Support equipment qualifications, validations, and process improvement projects.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.3-5 years of experience supporting manufacturing operations in a regulated or high-volume production environment.Experience with automated test equipment (ATE), data acquisition systems, or manufacturing testers.Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.Familiarity with electrical schematics and circuit troubleshooting.Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing industries.Experience with equipment validation, qualification, or process validation activities.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.Experience with PLCs, automation controls, and manufacturing data analysis.Work EnvironmentThe role supports a regulated or high-volume production environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing processes. The candidate will utilize diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters, and will need to be familiar with quality systems compliance. The environment encourages collaboration and continuous improvement.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
