The Logistics Specialist will act as liaison between receiving and logistics to ensure orders for various customers are processed in a reasonable timeframe. Assist the receiving department with their functions and provide them with information to identify specific equipment’s upon arrival. Provide shipping and tracking services to various organizations. Arrange for packing, transportation, and/or delivery of goods per the Customer’s request to worldwide OCONUS locations. Develop and implement improved methods of material handling, stock control, and packaging to promote efficient services.**Required Skills:*** Minimum of 4 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.* Experience with the customer's logistics/inventory practices, warehousing and inventory procedures as related to their material.* Knowledgeable of security guidelines related to secure material movement.* Forklift certified on various machines.* Ability to work independently and with a team.* Ability to make decisions, communicate status, follow through on actions in a timely manner.**Desired Skills:*** Knowledge of MSOffice applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access and Project.* Experience using Customer databases, tools for logistics and inventory management* Experience with Sharepoint, ServiceNow (ASENT)* Knowledge of DTSPO operations, policies and procedures.* Knowledge of ILMS/Ariba**Additional Requirements:*** Years of Experience Required: 4+ years* Required Education Level/Major: No* Can Equivalent Experience be Substituted for Educational Requirement (Yes/No): Yes* Weapons Certification Required (Yes/No): No* Professional License or Certification Required (Yes/No) / Type: Forklift certification* OCONUS TDY Required (Yes/No) / %: No.\*\** CONUS TDY Required (Yes/No) / %: Yes, up to 10% CONUS travel, as required. \*\****Must be a US Citizen and have an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph from day one of employment and be crossover eligible*** Previously part of a leading Fortune 100 company and headquartered in Dulles, VA; Nightwing became independent in 2024 but continues to support the nation’s most mission impactful initiatives.
