About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations for its Miami-Dade Mental Health Center. The successful candidate will be a senior executive leader with a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field and a preference for a licensed clinical professional. The VP will be responsible for the strategic, clinical, and operational oversight of the comprehensive mental health center, ensuring alignment with state, judicial, and community expectations. This role involves providing executive leadership across various mental health services, including crisis stabilization, short-term and long-term residential programs, and jail diversion initiatives. The VP will also serve as the primary liaison with government entities and play a critical role in advancing diversion strategies to reduce unnecessary incarceration and improve community behavioral health outcomes. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health or healthcare operations, with a strong background in crisis and residential treatment models. Essential qualifications include experience in government and publicly funded programs, collaboration with the judicial system, and a proven track record in financial and operational management. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships, and a focus on data-driven decision-making. The VP will be expected to lead a high-performance culture, support workforce development, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. The position demands a professional with a valid driver’s license, the ability to travel, and a commitment to the principles of trauma-informed care.
