Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours, 36 hours per week, every other weekend Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: EPIC experience Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. The RN prevents illness and injury and alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response. The RN advocates for the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance with professional standards of practice. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. The RN assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care. The RN manages a group of patients, serving as the primary nurse when designated. The RN considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost, and impact. The RN educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resources. The RN utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications. The RN shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. The RN complies with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. The RN actively participates in improvement initiatives and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model. The RN engages in professional development and completes all mandatory education requirements. The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. The RN provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. The RN follows all organizational values and performs other duties as assigned.
