About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nurse Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing experience License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS Certification Must-Have: - Experience in a cardiac telemetry department - Familiarity with TAVR, watchmans, mitral clips, heart catheterizations, preop/post op open heart care, cardiac IV and PO, cardiac drips, and anticoagulants - Understanding of CHF, CP, arythmias, NSTEMI, STEMI, PE, post op CABG, Sepsis, PNA, Stroke, observation patients, groin management Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. The RN is responsible for preventing illness and injury and alleviating suffering through diagnosis and treatment. The RN advocates for individuals and families in their care. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment centered on patient care. The RN assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care for a group of patients. The RN serves as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment. The RN educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management. The RN utilizes knowledge of pharmacology to safely administer medications according to policy. The RN shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. The RN complies with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. The RN actively participates in Improvement initiatives and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model. The RN engages in professional development and completes all mandatory education requirements. The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. The RN provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. The RN will perform other duties as assigned.
