We are not looking for someone who already knows dentistry.

We are looking for someone who WANTS to learn it.

You do not need dental experience. You do not need to know Open Dental. You do not need to understand dental insurance, treatment plans, dental terminology, or how a dental office operates.

We can teach you all of that.

What we cannot teach is the desire to learn, the willingness to work hard, the ability to think quickly, or the mindset of being part of a team.

What Your First Goal Will Be.

Your first job isn't to know everything.

Your first job is to learn.

We will teach you how our office operates, including:

• How to communicate with patients.
• How to answer and manage phone calls.
• How to schedule patients.
• How to use our dental software.
• How to document information correctly.
• How our doctors and hygienists are scheduled.
• How to collect payments.
• How dental insurance works.
• How to communicate with the clinical team.
• How to recognize what needs to happen next for a patient.

As you demonstrate that you can master responsibilities, we will continue teaching you more.

You don't have to be perfect.

You are probably someone who naturally thinks.

“What else can I learn?”

“What can I do to help?”

“How can I get better at this?”

Instead of:

“That's not my job.”

“Nobody told me to do that.”

We expect mistakes while you're learning.

What matters is whether you learn from them.

We want someone who can be shown something, practice it, ask questions when necessary, and eventually become confident enough to handle it independently.

A Small Test Before You Apply.

Work Schedule & Availability.

This is a full-time position scheduled four days per week .

Grand Mission Dentistry is open:

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
• Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Our full-time team members work four days each week, with the specific days scheduled based on the staffing and coverage needs of the office.

Availability to work two Saturdays per month is required.

Because we are open both early mornings and evenings, applicants should have flexibility to work within our operating hours. Your four scheduled days may vary depending on the needs of the practice, so a specific four-day schedule is not guaranteed.

We work hard to create schedules that are fair and balanced while making sure our doctors, team, and patients are fully supported.

If you are looking for a full-time position with a four-day workweek, are flexible with scheduling, and are comfortable working two Saturdays per month, this schedule can offer a great work-life balance.

What You'll Eventually Be Responsible For:

Once trained, your responsibilities will include things such as:

• Welcoming patients into the office.
• Answering incoming phone calls.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Helping patients with questions.
• Maintaining accurate patient information.
• Documenting patient communication.
• Collecting payments.
• Learning basic dental insurance processes.
• Communicating with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and other front-office team members.
• Helping maintain productive schedules.
• Following office systems and procedures.
• Helping patients move forward with needed care.
• Supporting your teammates throughout the day.

You are not expected to already know how to do these things. We will train you.

• Dental offices move quickly. You need to be able to think, transition between tasks, and keep moving.

• No one succeeds alone here. We help one another.

Experience:

Dental experience is NOT required.

In fact, we are completely comfortable hiring someone who has never worked in a dental office before.

Experience in customer service, restaurants, hospitality, retail, medical offices, reception, banking, salons, call centers, or other fast-paced environments can be helpful — but it is not required.

We are primarily looking for the right person and the right mindset.

Compensation:

$15–$18 per hour , depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

This is an entry-level opportunity with the ability to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the practice as your knowledge and capabilities develop.
