Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel or aluminum fabrication, welding, or manufacturing and be responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and industry quality standards. If you have a keen eye for detail, experience interpreting blueprints, and a passion for quality, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of fabricated parts and assemblies using isometric drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, engineered drawings, and work orders.
• Measure components using precision inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measuring devices.
• Inspect welds for quality and identify defects such as cracks, incomplete penetration, overlap, undercut, and porosity.
• Verify welder certifications and ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements.
• Inspect incoming raw materials to confirm compliance with purchase orders, Approved Manufacturer Lists (AMLs), material certifications, and heat numbers.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials or products.
• Collaborate with fabrication, production, and management teams to investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Quality Inspection experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, welding, or industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, general arrangement drawings, weld symbols, and engineering specifications.
• Strong understanding of steel and aluminum fabrication practices.
• Working knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, API, and ANSI.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an active manufacturing facility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a loud industrial shop environment while following all safety procedures.
