Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Trainee to join our team in Issaquah, WA.Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, additional hours and rotating Saturdays as neededJob ResponsibilitiesSuccessfully attend assigned phlebotomy school (paid for by Labcorp) within 30 days of hireDirect observation of phlebotomy collections within a PSC or clinic environment to prepare for phlebotomy roleSchedule patient appointments and greet patients upon appointment arrivalEnsure a welcoming environment for all patients and visitorsAssist patients with registration and check in proceduresData entry of patient demographics and billing informationVerification of insurance coverage and collect/post payments to patient accountsCollect and prepare specimens for testing and analysis when neededCall physician offices to confirm the accuracy of test ordersMonitor and log patient wait times on a regular basisMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:1 or more years of direct patient care experience2 or more years of face to face customer service experienceAdditional Job Standards:Knowledge of medical terminology is a plusExcellent customer service and strong verbal communication skillsAbility to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced atmosphereProficient computer and typing skillsAlpha-Numeric Data Entry proficiencyHave you ever thought about pursuing a career in the medical field? Our Phlebotomy Trainee Program allows applicants to work in our Patient Service Center part-time as a Patient Intake Representative and go to school for Phlebotomy part-time all while getting paid! Once licensed, employees will be promoted into a phlebotomy position within the department. This role gives applicants an opportunity for career growth and development.
