Human Resource Manager & Payroll Specialist

Mount Angel Towers is hiring a Human Resource Manager & Payroll Specialist to support the Executive Director and Department Managers in managing day-to-day HR operations and payroll-related administration. The role is onsite in Mount Angel, Oregon, and focuses on accurate recordkeeping, compliant payroll and benefits processing, and support for effective hiring and onboarding. Key Responsibilities Support recruiting activities, including interviewing and hiring employees. Organize and execute the employee onboarding process. Audit new hire and existing employee files to ensure accuracy and completeness. Collect and maintain payroll-related data, including timesheets, W-2 forms, benefits information, direct deposit forms, and tax filing documents. Manage the medical and dental benefits sign-up process and ongoing benefits administration. Submit payroll for all departments using Paycom (or a comparable system). Track and submit accurate information to the Workers Compensation Insurance provider. Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state rules and regulations. Document performance issues, provide coaching, and support termination processes when necessary. Contribute to building and sustaining a positive team work culture. Requirements Ability to manage multiple projects, track progress, and work with minimal management oversight. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Self-motivated and able to complete assigned projects. Must pass the Oregon Division of Human Services criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen. HR associate degree and/or previous HR experience required. Previous experience processing payroll. Previous experience interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
