Mortgage Loan OfficerThe Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for proactively soliciting new residential first mortgage loans to existing and prospective customers to meet established loan quality and production goals. The MLO will develop and maintain a strong network of business relationships to ensure a recurring source for mortgage loan referrals. The MLO will enhance this network by regularly participating in business-related development opportunities, community events and professional organizations.Responsibilities IncludeDevelop and solicit residential first mortgages through your network of customers, realtors and builders and presence in the communityDevelop a purchase pipeline by building a network of sources to refer potential buyersDiscuss the Bank's mortgage programs with current and prospective customersNegotiate terms and conditions of loans with customersComplete an initial assessment of the mortgage application including a review of credit, financial data, and collateral information to identify underwriting concerns upfrontObtain complete mortgage applications, including required supporting documentation and work closely with operations staff throughout the loan processGrow customer relationships by working with other Bank departments such as branch staff, commercial loan teams, investment services, etc.Stay current with trends and developments in the local real estate market, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to first mortgagesMake presentations and represent FNB at functions, as directedMeet minimum production goals and standards, as assignedDevelop and implement a marketing territory to educate the community regarding the Bank's CRA programs and effortsOriginate creditworthy home loans in designated low- and moderate-income areasComply with all applicable banking compliance rules and regulations established by both internal departments and external agenciesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredDegree from a four-year university preferred2+ years' experience in residential real estate loan originationMeet and maintain ongoing MLO registration requirements with the NMLSCurrent working knowledge of the mortgage industryUnderstanding of credit, financial/tax analysis, and loan program guidelinesUnderstanding of the secondary market including governmental programsExcellent ability to collect and report information on market conditions including competitive product and service offeringsThorough understanding of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements such as Regulation G and the federal SAFE Act and Regulation ZWorking knowledge of office equipment and intermediate computer skills including excelExperience with portfolio lending and construction lending preferredWhy You Should ApplyFull-time position with excellent compensation and benefits packageGenerous time off programsBonus programProfit-sharingDiscounted stock purchase programExcellent growth and development opportunitiesAnd much more!Location: Roseville, CAPay: $16.90/hr- $17.31/hr + commissions
