Job Summary

The Endoscopy Nurse Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care throughout the procedural environment. This role involves managing personnel, budgets, and clinical workflows while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily activities including patient scheduling, pre-operative assessments, procedural flow, and recovery/discharge processes.
• Team Management: Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff and medical assistants. Prepare staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to infection control standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements (CMS, AAAHC).
• Clinical Oversight: Act as a resource for staff on complex clinical cases and stay current with advances in endoscopy technology and best practices.
• Patient Experience: Address patient and family concerns, monitor satisfaction data, and implement improvements to enhance the patient experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS are required.
• Experience:
• • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical RN experience, preferably in endoscopy, perioperative, or procedural settings.
  • 1–2+ years of prior nursing leadership or management experience (e.g., Charge Nurse).

Required Skills

• Leadership: Ability to mentor, motivate, and delegate effectively within a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with physicians, administrator, and diverse clinical teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and specialized GI software
• Analytical Thinking: Skills in leveraging metrics and quality data to drive operational decisions.
