DV/SA Program Coordinator
Indian Health Council is looking for a Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault (DV/SA) Program Coordinator to coordinate the administration of the Peace Between Partners program and provide advocacy, education, prevention, and treatment to victims of DV/SA.
The Coordinator will work onsite at either of the two IHC locations in North San Diego County. The position is full-time, non-clinical, and reports to the Tribal Family Services Director.
The Coordinator will be responsible for planning and administering the delivery of services provided by the DV/SA program, data collection, writing grant reports, developing policies and procedures, establishing education and prevention services, establishing linkages with DV shelters, courts, law enforcement, and accommodations, providing after hours services, assisting DV/SA victims with obtaining restraining orders, collaborating with outside agencies and community organizations, developing an updated resource library of services available to the community, and completing required DV/SA crisis intervention training.
The Coordinator must have a high school diploma or GED, a college degree or training in the areas of sociology, psychology, or social work preferred, minimum of two years in a non-profit or health care setting and experience working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, experience in program development, reports, data, and grant writing, knowledge of community and county resources as it relates to position, knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy to provide case management services, ability to complete data reporting and do presentations, ability to interpret and translate grant goals and objectives into effective services for the community, ability to work effectively with team members, ability to identify problems, use good judgment and recommend solutions, ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities, proficiency in productivity software, electronic health records software, and utilization of Paycom, Relias Learning, and PolicyTech systems.
The Coordinator must also have a 66-hour Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Advocate Training certificate, a valid California driver's license and a good driving record, current AED CPR certification, pass a pre-employment physical exam, tuberculin skin test or x-ray and urine drug screen test, and pass a criminal background check.
