Senior Accounting Manager (Family Office)

A multi-generational family office is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join its finance team. This is a highly visible leadership role supporting a sophisticated portfolio of investments spanning private equity, real estate, operating businesses, trusts, and other alternative asset classes. The ideal candidate is a technically strong accounting professional with extensive partnership accounting experience, a passion for mentoring teams, and the ability to manage a high volume of entities in a fast-paced environment. This role offers broad exposure to complex investment structures and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, tax professionals, and investment teams. Key Responsibilities Oversee accounting operations for a large portfolio of partnerships, trusts, operating companies, and investment entities Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness Review accounting workpapers supporting tax compliance and coordinate closely with internal and external tax advisors Partner with private equity fund managers, administrators, and investment professionals to gather financial information and resolve accounting matters Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for complex investments, including private equity funds, real estate holdings, and specialty assets Lead process improvement initiatives, strengthen internal controls, and enhance accounting workflows Serve as a technical accounting resource for the team, providing guidance on complex transactions and reporting matters Mentor, develop, and manage accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment Support special projects, entity structuring initiatives, and ad hoc financial reporting requests Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred 15+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities Family office experience strongly preferred Deep understanding of partnership accounting and complex investment structures Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Demonstrated success improving processes and developing team members #J-18808-Ljbffr Atlas Search
