Job Description

Our manufacturing client is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team.

Direct hire

Pay rate: $35-$45 depending on level of experience

What You'll Do

Program, edit, and optimize CNC milling programs using Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM software
Create machining programs for CNC Vertical Machining Centers producing tooling components and precision-machined parts
Program and maintain an InspecVision optical inspection system to support automated quality verification
Interpret blueprints, CAD models, technical drawings, and GD&T to develop efficient machining strategies
Create detailed setup sheets including tooling, pickup points, tool paths, and grind stock specifications
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimize downtime and keep production on schedule
Improve machining processes by reducing cycle times, increasing efficiency, and enhancing product quality
Manage cutting tool inventory and tooling materials based on production requirements and tooling BOMs
Monitor tool performance and coordinate replenishment of critical tooling
Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, and machine operators to support manufacturing goals
Maintain accurate program documentation and implement engineering changes as needed

What We're Looking For

5+ years of CNC milling programming experience in a metal stamping manufacturing environment
Strong proficiency with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM programming software
Extensive knowledge of G-code, CNC machining, tooling selection, feeds and speeds
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
