Job Summary Position responsible for all the food and beverage operations, which includes all culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service operations. Oversees guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining standards and meeting or exceeding financial goals. Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations. Develops and implements business plan for food and beverage. Candidate Profile Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area. Alternatively, a 2‑year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area. Core Work Activities Day‑to‑day management of the Food and Beverage departments, ensuring quality service, employee engagement, and financial performance. Developing and Maintaining Budgets Develops and manages all financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for Food and Beverage departments. Maintains a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations. Utilizes budgets to understand financial objectives. Leading Food and Beverage Team Manages the Food and Beverage departments (excluding catering sales). Supervises and manages employees, performing duties in their absence when necessary. Leads, influences, and encourages employees, advocating sound financial/business decision making and demonstrating honesty and integrity. Ensures all culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service operations run smoothly. Creates a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and passion for service. Provides excellent customer and employee service, coaching, counseling, and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation. Monitors productivity levels and establishes clear expectations with rewards for exceeding them. Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work. Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service Delivers excellent customer service and responds quickly and proactively to guests' concerns. Understands and aligns the brand's service culture across all employees. Sets service expectations for guests and resolves complaints to satisfaction. Ensures banquet functions meet or exceed guest expectations. Provides services above and beyond to support customer satisfaction and retention. Uses communication and coaching to enhance guest experience. Acts as a role model for appropriate hospitality behaviors. Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including performance standards and monitoring. Conducts timely performance reviews. Promotes fair treatment and open-door policies. Identifies developmental needs and coaches or mentors employees. Develops formal educational or training programs and instructs others. Creates action plans to address strengths and gaps based on employee engagement and guest satisfaction data. Additional Responsibilities Complies with all corporate accounting procedures. Communicates information to supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates via telephone, written form, email, or in person. Analyzes information and evaluates results to determine the best solution for problem solving. Drives effective departmental communication and information systems through logs, department meetings, and property meetings.
