Operations Controller

Operations Controller Los Angeles, CA – Direct Hire. Accounting salary $160K–$185K starting 07/14/2026. Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Operations Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $160,000 to $185,000 per year. Job Responsibilities Oversee inventory accounting activities and ensure accurate tracking of materials, work in progress, and finished goods. Manage month end close processes related to inventory, costing, and operational financial reporting. Analyze production costs, inventory activity, and operational performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Partner with operations and leadership teams to strengthen financial controls and improve process efficiency. Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and financial analyses to support planning, forecasting, and decision making. Requirements 5+ years of experience in operational finance, cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing finance. Strong understanding of inventory management, product costing, and variance analysis principles. Previous experience working in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, consumer products, or similar operational environments. Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with the ability to analyze large data sets. Qualifications Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate operational and financial performance. Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross functional teams and senior leadership. Experience implementing process improvements, controls, and system enhancements. Ability to work in fast paced, growth oriented environments while managing multiple priorities. Detail oriented approach with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
