About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN), Medical-Surgical – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Schedule: Block scheduling with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts. Every other weekend rotation required. On-call/backup coverage on a rotating basis during a 6-week schedule, shared among all staff.

Highlights:

• Diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• All disciplines of surgery with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and Social Services
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocol
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract, finalized at time of submission

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Willingness to float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Full compliance documentation required to start on time; orientation occurs bi-weekly
