Staff Engineer

Civil/Geotechnical Staff EngineerBraun Intertec is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our St. Cloud office. Responsibilities include performing various field and laboratory tests, working independently on specific assignments of limited scope and with engineers on larger projects as a team member, preparing proposals for geotechnical and material testing projects, managing basic geotechnical and material testing projects, maintaining client communications and building client relations, developing solutions, making recommendations, and preparing engineering reports for review, observing construction in progress and reporting to project engineer, and gaining experience relevant to work toward obtaining a Professional Engineer license.Required skills include a valid driver's license and clean driving record, performing field related services at least 50% of the time, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs. periodically. Travel up to 25% of the time is required.Required experience includes prior professional consulting experience desired, up to four years, geotechnical experience preferred, proficiency in field-testing & report writing experience, a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical, materials emphasis, or related, and EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.Braun Intertec is a drug-free workplace and requires all new hires to complete a pre-employment drug screen test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
