Analytical Chemist

We are seeking talented individuals to fill three Associate Analytical Chemist positions within the Monographs, Special Analysis, and Water Soluble Vitamin Teams. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic laboratory setting, conducting important chemical identification and quality testing across various samples. Responsibilities Perform chemical identification and quality testing on a variety of samples. Conduct wet chemistry and gravimetric analyses to support routine laboratory testing. Prepare samples, add reagents, and execute analytical test methods. Gain experience with analytical instrumentation including FTIR, UV-Vis, HPLC, GC, IC, and automated titration systems. Conduct titrations, use ion probes, and handle spectrophotometers as part of Special Analysis. Run microbiological assays using Hamiltons, autoturbs, pipetting, and measure turbidity for the Water Soluble Vitamins team. Perform routine work involving microassays (Vitamin B), using wet chemistry techniques and following established methods. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related life science field. Experience with HPLC, GC, or UPLC is highly advantageous. Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques. Ability to multitask, with strong attention to detail and customer service skills. A strong work ethic, dependability, and self-motivation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous lab experience in a high-volume setting is a plus. Flexibility and a desire for a variety of work challenges. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team. Coachability and eagerness to learn new skills. This position is based in a lab setting, where you will join a team that values teamwork and efficiency. The work environment is fast-paced and can be likened to production work, as there are specific client timeframes to meet. The lab specializes in testing food and dietary supplements for nutritional value, offering great growth potential with opportunities for advancement into technical lead and supervisory roles. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.89 - $22.89/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
