TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53792!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience required License: RN license required Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required Telemetry test clearance prior to starting Description: Evening/Night shifts with every other weekend rotation and some holidays. No call required. Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred. Traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Staffing is dynamic with 27 private rooms capable of ICU level care. The nursing team for each shift consists of charge RNs and nursing staff in direct patient care assignments. Nurses typically care for 1-2 patients, with potential for 3 patients if acuity is low. The unit provides care for cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients. Special procedures include CABG, Valve Repair/Replacement, Aneurysm repair, and LVAD management. The team is supported by interdisciplinary resources including physical therapy and respiratory services. Staff assignments may change throughout a shift as patients are admitted or discharged. Care needs to be delivered with a mix of technological expertise and a commitment to patient and family needs. This position involves working with advanced medical devices and procedures in a high-acuity setting.
