This role requires a self-starting A&P professional who thrives on technical autonomy and takes personal pride in maintaining elite regulatory and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Execute full-cycle maintenance and inspections on piston-powered trainer aircraft from initial intake to final sign-off. Diagnose and resolve mechanical discrepancies in strict alignment with FAA mandates and manufacturer data. Interpret technical manuals, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives to ensure every repair meets certified standards. Generate meticulous, audit-ready logbook entries and maintenance records for every service action. Maintain a pristine and safety-oriented hangar environment reflecting professional shop standards. Synchronize with flight operations and fellow technicians to protect the daily training schedule. Adapt maintenance priorities fluidly as fleet availability and training demands shift. Support 24/7 flight operations by fulfilling day or night shift assignments as required. Minimum Requirements Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate in good standing. Minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on experience with piston-powered GA aircraft (e.g., Piper, Cirrus, Diamond). Deep functional knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91. Capability to work independently and make definitive airworthiness determinations. Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to digital maintenance tracking platforms. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in environments involving fuels, noise, and outdoor exposure. Willingness to work flexible 10-hour shifts, including nights.
