BILINGUAL DISASTER RELIEF CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (ENGLISH/SPANISH)

LOCATION
Phoenix, AZ | Remote – Local Candidates Only

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Pay: $23.28/hour
• Schedule: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Seasonal, non-exempt assignment (approximately 3–4 months)
• Training: Paid training, approximately 8–10 days, scheduled between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM EST
• Work Hours: Shifts may vary based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Operations run 24/7.
• Work Location: 100% Remote – Applicants must reside in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
• Benefits: Paid sick time (1 hour per 30 hours worked), paid government holidays, and minimum essential coverage insurance.

ROLE IMPACT

Make a difference when it matters most! CornerStone Staffing is hiring compassionate, detail-oriented Bilingual Disaster Relief Customer Service Representatives to assist individuals and families affected by natural disasters.

In this fully remote position, you will support federal disaster assistance programs by helping survivors register for assistance, understand available resources, and navigate the recovery process.

This is an opportunity to provide meaningful support to individuals during challenging times while gaining valuable experience in government customer service and disaster recovery operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to inbound calls from disaster survivors seeking assistance with disaster relief programs, registration, housing assistance, and available resources.
• Guide callers through registration processes, verify identities, answer questions, and provide accurate information about disaster assistance programs.
• Accurately document caller information in designated computer systems while maintaining strict confidentiality and protecting personally identifiable information (PII).
• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism when assisting individuals experiencing stressful or difficult circumstances.
• Follow established call scripts, security protocols, and quality standards while meeting performance expectations and participating in ongoing training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED, previous customer service experience, and proficiency using computers and multiple applications.
• Must be at least 18 years old, be a U.S. citizen, and successfully complete required federal background and financial screening.
• Must reside locally in the Phoenix, AZ area , have the ability to work remotely, and be available for flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS

• Computer-based customer service and call center applications
• Customer information and case documentation systems
• Identity verification and authentication procedures
• Multiple computer screens and software applications
• Federal data privacy and information security protocols

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Fluency in English and Spanish, including verbal and written communication.
• Previous call center, inbound customer service, or government program support experience.
• Strong active listening, problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation, including credit/financial screening and applicable federal security checks.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must complete required training and meet ongoing quality assurance and performance standards.
