Chief Executive Officer

the client seeks a Chief Executive Officer to help define the next generation of Downtown Atlanta. This role is intended to be a mandate to lead and shape direction, not a maintenance position. The CEO will build on an existing platform with deep history, experienced staff, engaged board leadership, and established public and private relationships, with a focus on sustaining and advancing a legacy of major civic impact. As a strategist, convener, advocate, and diplomat, the CEO is expected to guide organizational direction, bring stakeholders together, and represent the client’s mission with credibility and influence. The role also involves resource building and stewardship, supporting effective governance and ensuring that relationships and partnerships are leveraged to advance civic priorities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capability and the ability to operate effectively at a civic and community level, balancing advocacy with diplomacy. The CEO will serve as a civic champion, working to convene diverse perspectives, steward organizational assets and relationships responsibly, and drive meaningful progress for the downtown community.
