Position: Head Volleyball Coach Location: Marshalltown, IA Job Id: 897 # of Openings: 1 Job Title: Head Volleyball Coach Department: Athletics Reports To: Director of Athletics Location: Marshalltown Community College, Marshalltown, IA Rate of Pay: Stipend Summary The Head Coach will be responsible for recruitment and retention of a full competitive roaster. Follows all Iowa Valley Community College District (IVCCD), Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC), and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) rules and regulations in administering the program. Supports the development of the student athletes. This position is responsible for coordination of travel, game schedule, recruiting, inventory and maintenance of equipment. Responsible for game management duties. Job Duties Provides an environment for successful recruitment and retention of student athletes. Supports the development of student athletes’ success in the classroom and in their respective sport. Coordinates travel, game schedule and game management. Assures compliance with all IVCCD, ICCAC, and NJCAA rules. Provides program need within allocated budget, including inventory of all equipment and uniforms. Provide game day management duties and drive teams to sporting events as needed. Attends IVCCD and ICCAC meetings as required. Supports the overall success of the district by performing other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; Masters preferred. Appropriate licensure if required. Certifications and Licenses Valid Driver’s License, Commercial Driver’s License preferred. Abilities Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a diverse population of students. Knowledge and ability to organize multiple priorities and job duties. Knowledge of general office procedures and protocols. Note Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
