Senior Field Service Engineer

Salary: $84,258 - 113,880 per year Requirements:

• We require an associate degree in a technical discipline, a technical certificate, or equivalent practical experience.
• We expect at least 5 years of electro-mechanical or electronics technical support and repair experience.
• Experience with lasers and sensing devices used to position circuitry on robotic units is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting microelectronics schematics and digital circuits is required.
• We need proficiency with PCs and Windows- and DOS-based operating systems.
• A valid drivers license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and eligibility to obtain a company expense card and passport are required.
• You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolding, and use personal protective equipment.
• You must be comfortable working in awkward positions and confined spaces.
• You must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally, including emergency on-call assignments.

• We perform advanced customer support activities including installation, modification, repair, and preventive maintenance of our equipment and systems.
• We isolate and resolve complex equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• We work with minimal supervision while following established policies and procedures to meet company and customer quality standards.
• We may serve as a local, shift, or site lead to coordinate work direction for other service engineers and installation support.
• We lead or carry out installation, testing, upgrades, preventive diagnostics, and maintenance on equipment software and hardware.
• We interface with customers to support satisfaction and participate in operational and status meetings, representing Brooks when needed.
• We maintain a safe and clean work environment by following our protocols and the customers requirements.
• We achieve service and operations certifications and submit required service and status reports.
• We respond to changing priorities such as tool or line-down events and escalation requests.
• We train Brooks and customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• We mentor and coach less experienced service engineers.
• We drive continuous improvement initiatives for customers and our teams to resolve issues.
• We initiate, assess, and document new processes and improvements to existing workflows.
• We prepare reports, project plans, training plans, certification matrices, and related documentation.
• We present to customers at their site or at our office, independently or with Brooks leadership.
• We support a specific site, region, and/or product set depending on business needs.
• We work a flexible schedule aligned to customer needs, which may include compressed work weeks, night shifts, weekends, and on-call coverage.
