Senior Software Engineer, Autonomy & Mission Planning

Salary: $126,650 - 217,350 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent required.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of C++ experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with autonomy and/or robotics software techniques.
• At least 2 years of real-time software development experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with Agile software development.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance after starting; U.S. citizenship is required for the clearance.
• Must meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person.
• Preferred: 9 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, for the Senior level.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Preferred: Active U.S. Secret clearance.
• Preferred: Experience with Mission Systems architectures, Open Mission Systems (OMS), and/or Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI).
• Preferred: Familiarity with Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) and/or radar.
• Preferred: Simulation development, continuous integration, software testing, and tools such as JIRA, GIT, and Jenkins.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software across its lifecycle, meeting industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Review and analyze customer requirements and translate them into initial software product designs.

We are hiring Experienced- and Senior-level Software Engineers/Developers for our Phantom Works Advanced Mission Planning team within Boeing Defense, Space & Security Software Engineering. The role is based in Berkeley, Missouri, in the St. Louis area, and supports software development for autonomous systems. Phantom Works is our advanced research and development organization, where teams use visual modeling and simulation, develop cross-cutting technologies, prototype solutions, and pursue new programs and markets. This position is 100% onsite on first shift, with travel of up to 10%. Relocation may be available depending on eligibility.
