The District Manager is responsible for the growth, profitability, people, and operating performance of a portfolio of Trades businesses. Reporting to the CEO, this leader works through Unit Managers and local teams to strengthen execution, build leadership capacity, and deliver an exceptional experience for customers and field professionals.

This is a hands-on operating leadership role for someone who wants to do more than manage a territory. The District Manager will help build businesses, enter new markets, integrate future growth, and translate the Trades operating model into consistent results across multiple locations.

What You Will Own

Business Performance and P&L Leadership

· Develop and execute district operating plans that translate company priorities into measurable revenue, profitability, cash flow, customer, and people outcomes.

· Maintain full accountability for district P&L performance, including growth, pricing, labor productivity, fleet, overhead, and capital deployment.

· Lead monthly business and financial reviews with Unit Managers, identify root causes behind performance gaps, and establish clear corrective actions.

· Use scorecards, operating metrics, and field observations to improve decision-making and create consistent accountability across the district.

Organic Growth and Market Development

· Build local market plans that increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and market share.

· Partner with local leaders to strengthen relationships with customers, referral partners, and community stakeholders.

· Evaluate new territories, service lines, and capacity investments; support launches and expansion when opportunities meet the company's return and execution standards.

· Monitor competitive activity, customer needs, and local market conditions to inform pricing, service, and growth decisions.

Operational Excellence

· Drive adoption of the Trades operating model, including disciplined planning, scorecards, standard work, and regular performance reviews.

· Improve field execution across dispatch, scheduling, technician utilization, call conversion, average ticket, quality, fleet, inventory, safety, and customer follow-through.

· Identify constraints to growth, develop practical solutions, and ensure improvements are sustained at the local level.

· Lead change across multiple businesses while preserving local accountability and responsiveness.

Leadership and Talent Development

· Recruit, coach, and retain high-performing Unit Managers and field leaders who can build strong teams and deliver results through others.

· Create a culture of ownership, accountability, urgency, service, safety, and continuous improvement.

· Build succession plans and a pipeline of operating talent for future territories, brands, and leadership positions.

· Address underperformance directly and fairly, while providing leaders with clear expectations, useful feedback, and the support needed to improve.

Strategic Growth and Integration

· Partner with Trades and CPC leadership on strategic initiatives, operating reviews, and business-building priorities.

· Support the onboarding and integration of acquired businesses, including leadership alignment, performance visibility, and adoption of core operating practices.

· Share best practices across locations and brands, while adapting execution to the realities of each local market.

· Take on special projects and broader operating responsibilities as the platform expands.

Trades intends this role to be a development platform for broader operating leadership. Scope and advancement will be commensurate with performance, leadership capability, and the needs of the business. High-performing District Managers may have opportunities to:

· Launch or assume responsibility for additional territories and operating businesses.

· Lead larger, more complex geographies or multi-brand operations.

· Own enterprise-wide improvement initiatives or acquisition integrations.

· Progress into senior operating roles, including potential COO or other executive leadership responsibilities within Trades or the broader CPC family of companies.

What You Bring

· At least 6 years of progressive operating leadership experience, with meaningful responsibility for multiple locations, territories, or business units.

· Demonstrated P&L ownership and a record of improving growth, profitability, execution, and team performance.

· Experience in field services, home services, construction services, route-based services, facilities services, or another distributed operating environment is strongly preferred.

· Strong financial and analytical judgment, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, productivity, and performance management.

· A practical, field-oriented leadership style and the ability to move comfortably between strategic priorities and operating details.

· Proven ability to recruit, coach, and develop leaders and to create accountability without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.

· Clear communication, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to challenge assumptions and solve problems from first principles.

· Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field preferred; equivalent operating experience will be considered.

· Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50%.
