Promote and sell Alcon surgical ophthalmic products through various sales activities. Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, high-volume users, surgeons, clinicians, and other stakeholders. Discover new business opportunities and execute a sales plan and strategy. Frequent customer visits and product demonstrations, providing necessary support. Participate in and conduct events, meetings, and joint selling opportunities with cataract and refractive teammates. Create and maintain a customer database and provide timely reports with accurate documentation of sales activities and customer interactions. Conduct competitive market analysis to maintain Alcon’s product market share and respond to competition. Coordinate all vitreoretinal wet‑lab and training activities across Alcon functional groups. Coordinate service repairs for equipment and report quality issues to Medical Safety. Maintain territory administrative records in IT CRM systems. Manage expenses within prescribed guidelines. Implement Vitreoretinal Marketing Brand Plans as advised. Act as single point of accountability for accounts’ vitreoretinal needs while collaborating with hospital staff, purchasing, and other departments. Facilitate strategic training and education of our vitreoretinal equipment and consumable portfolio to key physicians, residents, and fellows. Travel extensively, including overnight trips, to serve customers within assigned territories. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; alternatively high school +10 years of experience, associate +6 years, or M.S. with 2 years of proven experience. Fluent in English (reading, writing, and communication). Strong medical device sales experience, especially K‑12 or high-end medical consumables or capital equipment. Proven ability to achieve quota on a full product mix of posterior and combined procedural products. Experience with capital equipment such as Unity, Constantellation Vision System, Purepoint Laser, and Ngenuity, plus consumable procedural packs. Capable of transporting equipment for demonstrations and handling overnight travel and after-hours communication as required. Strong knowledge of surgical settings: hospitals, teaching institutions, ambulatory surgery centers, and corporate accounts.
