Occupational Therapist / Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab
Location: Richmond, VA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM; weekend rotations required.
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist to join our team in an inpatient rehab setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital environment, specifically with stroke evaluation and treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy for neuro re-education, functional activities, and neuromuscular re-education.
- Utilize specialized equipment, including Sara Lifts and Bioness, to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of therapists and support staff.
- Engage in ongoing patient assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 2 years of experience in a hospital or inpatient rehab setting.
- Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment is preferred.
- No specific certifications required; licensure in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy must be current and valid.
