Sheet Metal Worker - Fab Shop

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator - Fab Shop with experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, assemble, and secure sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial construction projects.
Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications.
Work with a variety of duct materials, including galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Ensure proper sealing and insulation of duct systems to meet industry standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.
Operate hand and power tools, including shears, brakes, and welding equipment.
Collaborate with other trades to ensure proper system installation.
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets local building codes and HVAC standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal duct installation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong understanding of HVAC ductwork installation techniques and best practices.
Experience working with various hand and power tools used in sheet metal fabrication.
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass background check.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with local HVAC codes and regulations.
Experience with welding and soldering sheet metal components.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
