As Clinical Accreditation Specialist, part of our Quality & Outcomes Management team, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our teams are prepared to meet the highest standards for patient care, regulatory compliance, and accreditation.This role brings together clinical expertise, quality improvement, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration to help Texas Children’s remain continuously survey-ready and focused on exceptional patient outcomes.What You’ll DoAs a trusted clinical and regulatory resource, you’ll partner with nurses, physicians, clinical teams, and leaders across the organization to evaluate care delivery, identify opportunities for improvement, and strengthen high-risk clinical processes.You’ll:Lead and participate in mock surveys, clinical tracers, patient care observations, and regulatory readiness activities across Texas Children’s.Help prepare teams for Joint Commission, CMS, Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC), and specialty accreditation surveys.Participate in unannounced surveys, providing education and support before, during, and after the survey process.Evaluate clinical practices and workflows related to areas such as medication management, infection prevention, patient identification, clinical documentation, handoff communication, and restraint management.Identify opportunities for improvement and partner with leaders to develop and monitor action plans.Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert to clinical and operational leaders on accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, patient safety, and evidence-based practices.Develop and deliver education, presentations, newsletters, and other resources to help teams stay informed and prepared.Collaborate with leaders and multidisciplinary teams to improve survey readiness and the overall patient care experience.Support new and existing clinical surveys by helping coordinate communication, stakeholder engagement, and survey logistics.Participate in committees, special projects, and initiatives that support quality and patient safety across the organization.Why This Role MattersSurvey readiness is about more than passing an inspection.
