Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health

Ardent Home Health & Hospice is a Medicare and Medicaid certified home‑health and hospice agency serving the greater Fresno/Delano area. We seek a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our physical therapists in delivering physician‑ordered rehabilitative therapies. Job Summary The ideal candidate is detail oriented, self‑driven, and friendly, providing direct physical therapy under the direction of a licensed physical therapist. Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct physical therapy in accordance with the physician’s plan of care. Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance. Assist patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle re‑education, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training. Utilize physical agents (heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, massage, etc.). Observe and report patient reactions to treatment and any changes in condition to the physical therapist and organization personnel. Instruct patients in the care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices. Job Requirements Active CA PTA license. Minimum of two (2) years of patient care experience; preference for home‑health setting. Good verbal and written communication and organization skills. Current CPR certification.
