Senior Architect

Overview K+dC is seeking a self-directed and collaborative Architect with a minimum of 8 years experience in management, design, and technical development of single family residential projects. This position serves as a part of the firm’s team, and plays a significant role in the firm. Knowledge of BIM workflow and experience with Vectorworks are preferred. Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects, juggle various tasks and work effectively and independently with clients. This position has responsibility for directing consultants, contractors, and internal team production. Primary Responsibilities Handle technical detailing and drawing production of high end custom residential projects Understand NYS Residential building code Coordinate with consultants and contractors Understand design intent and goals for successful implementation Understand the construction administration phase Additional Responsibilities Assist Principals with fee estimating scope of work and project scheduling Provide technical guidance to junior level staff and possess full knowledge of best practice standards and expectations Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture Minimum 8 years of experience Strong technical skills Experience with BIM workflow and Vectorworks preferred Passive House or LEED Accredited Professional a plus Salary and Benefits Annual salary ranges depending on experience, skill level, and ability to self-direct.
