Lead Veterinarian J859042
$130k - $180kFull-time
Salary $130k-$180k | Clinical Leadership | Multi-Doctor Team | Advanced Medicine Global Talent Partners is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinarian to take on a Lead Veterinarian position with a progressive, multi-doctor companion animal hospital in the San Diego area. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to remain heavily involved in clinical practice while taking on greater responsibility for mentorship, medical standards and team development. The hospital combines comprehensive general practice with advanced diagnostics, surgery and direct access to specialist consultation, creating an environment where complex cases can often be managed collaboratively within the practice. About the Practice You'll join a large veterinary team consisting of Lead Veterinarians and Associate Veterinarians, supported by Registered Veterinary Technicians, veterinary assistants and an experienced hospital management team. The wider clinical team also works with consulting board-certified specialists in radiology and cardiology, providing valuable additional support with complex cases. The hospital provides a broad range of clinical services including:
• Wellness and preventative medicine
• Puppy and kitten care
• Senior pet medicine
• Internal medicine
• Urgent care
• Advanced diagnostic workups
• Digital diagnostic imaging
• Radiology
• Cardiology consultation
• Soft tissue surgery
• Dentistry
• Pain management
• Chronic disease management
• Complex medical case management
• Specialist-supported case consultation The practice is equipped to manage the majority of patients' medical and surgical needs in-house. When cases require additional expertise, veterinarians can collaborate directly with board-certified specialists within the hospital's clinical network, helping provide coordinated care without automatically referring every complex case externally. The Leadership Opportunity As Lead Veterinarian, you'll play an important role in supporting clinical excellence while continuing to manage your own medical and surgical caseload. The position will involve mentoring veterinarians, encouraging collaborative case discussion and helping maintain consistently high medical standards across the hospital. You'll work closely with hospital leadership to support the continued development of the veterinary team and contribute to the practice's clinical direction. The hospital's existing veterinary team brings interests across diagnostic imaging, radiology, soft tissue surgery and client education, creating an excellent environment for clinical collaboration and knowledge sharing. Benefits • Salary between $130,000 and $180,000
• Lead Veterinarian opportunity
• Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance
• Retirement benefits
• Generous paid time off
• Continuing Education allowance
• Paid professional licensing and memberships
• Employee pet care benefits
• Leadership and mentorship opportunities
• Access to specialist clinical consultation
• Excellent opportunities for continued professional development Why San Diego? San Diego offers one of the most desirable lifestyles anywhere in the United States.
