Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy
• Location: Asheville
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks

• Weekly Pay: $2200 to $2400

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and review medical histories
• Prepare patients for endoscopy procedures and provide education regarding the process
• Administer medications, moderate sedation, and IV therapies as prescribed
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout procedures and recovery
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
• Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance of endoscopy equipment according to facility protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding post-procedure care and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care standards

Requirements

• Active RN License in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy, GI Lab, Procedural Nursing, or related experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• Moderate Sedation experience preferred
• Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
