Role Description The Assistant role at Weigel’s Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Knoxville, TN. This role supports daily store operations, including assisting customers, managing transactions at the register, and maintaining product displays and inventory levels. The Assistant helps ensure store cleanliness and organization, restocks shelves and coolers, and follows food safety and quality standards. Responsibilities also include supporting opening and closing procedures, collaborating with supervisors and team members, and responding to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. The Assistant is expected to uphold Weigel’s service standards, follow company policies, and contribute positively to a team-oriented workplace. Maintain product displays and inventory levels; restock shelves and coolers. Ensure store cleanliness and organization; follow food safety and quality standards. Support opening and closing procedures; collaborate with supervisors and team members. Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Qualifications Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional demeanor. Basic math and cash-handling abilities, with attention to detail in processing payments and balancing transactions. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, maintain store cleanliness, and restock products efficiently. Ability to follow instructions, learn new procedures through on-the-job training, and adhere to safety and quality standards. Reliability and adaptability, including consistent attendance, flexibility with shifts, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Comfort working in a fast-paced retail or food-service environment; prior experience in convenience stores or customer-facing roles is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must meet all applicable legal requirements for employment.
