Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Parkersburg, West Virginia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/21/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 21, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 2\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring 1 year of cath lab experience and rotating call coverage.Details\n \n Acute care setting in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 3 procedure suites, each staffed by 2 RAD techs and 2 RNs\n Average of 13 cases per day, including Dx & interventional procedures, PCI, TEEs, balloon pumps, pacers, event recorders, and defibrillators\n RN responsibilities include sedation, circulating, prep, IV placement, and overall patient care (RNs do not scrub)\n RAD techs scrub in and assist the physician; nurse or RAD tech may document pre and post care in Epic\n Day shift currently 5x8-hour shifts, transitioning to 4x10-hour shifts, with staggered start times (0700-1530, 0800-1630, 0900-1730)\n Call coverage required every 3rd night and every 3rd weekend, with EP coverage expected\n Call response time is 30 minutes\n On-call coverage is 24/7, supported by an interventional cardiologist after hours and a diagnostic cardiologist on call\n Holiday coverage is fulfilled through the call schedule\n Uses Epic EMR and CUPID for scheduling and schedule board\n Utilizes Volcano and Impella equipment\n Requirements\n \n Active WV or compact RN license required\n Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required\n Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience required\n Prior travel experience highly preferred\n Unexpired driver's license required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Charge nurse and manager jointly run the daily board\n Unit-specific orientation lasts 1-2 days\n Scrubs (light blue) are provided; candidates must supply their own shoes, with shoe covers provided\n Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, and local candidates are not accepted\n Travelers who previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying\n Travelers are limited to a cumulative one-year work period within WVU facilities, after which a 2-year break is required\n All candidates interview directly with the unit manager\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-753276.
