Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer

Are you a Software Engineer with a focus on Infrastructure and DevOps and are passionate about product and system software and looking to make exponential impact? Do you love working on highly dynamic, cross functional initiatives? This is an exciting opportunity to drive change in the Software Architecture and Technology Group. We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure and Dev Ops Engineer to lead cross-organizational product and system software changes that deliver value in optimizing the software across the full system stack from pre-silicon simulation and firmware up to orchestration and application frameworks while also maximizing the software experience for developers and end users. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of product and reference software programs, leading and collaborating with highly matrixed and geographically dispersed engineering teams across Intel in planning, building, and delivering quality software capabilities. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring the efficient planning, provisioning, installation/configuration, maintenance, and/or operations of the hardware and software infrastructure required to build, validate, and release a wide variety of hardware and software products and projects.

• Works closely with development and quality teams to derive infrastructure design requirements, build, test, and automate tools appropriate to the project, and/or implements and maintains of those systems within the constraints imposed by Intel enterprise infrastructure (IT) and other governing bodies.

• Owns the end-to-end delivery pipeline, including source code management, versioning/tagging strategy, component build and packaging, test automation tooling, release staging, acceptance and/or indicators, required security and IP scans, any third-party conformance tools, artifact storage and distribution, and disaster recovery planning.

• Identifies opportunities and implements solutions for increased automation, reliability, and/or velocity within the pipeline through implementation of robust infrastructure telemetry, KPIs, and indicators, and by monitoring and applying industry best practices.

Qualifications

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

• 5+ years of experience with continuous integration tools and best practices including Jenkins and Azure DevOps and infrastructure as code

• 3+ years of experience with security tools including binary and code scanners and secret management systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with continuous delivery practices including canary and blue/green deployments

• 10+ years overall experience with build and release engineering practices, tools and technologies providing specific examples supporting in-house and commercial applications

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $139,480.00-$209,760.00

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
