Radiology/Imaging - Rad Tech

Location: San Diego, CA Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Pay: $2,050/week (~$51.25/hour based on 40 hours)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services in a correctional healthcare setting. This role includes performing X-ray procedures, supporting advanced imaging when applicable, and ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 months of recent experience (within the last 3 years) in a similar setting
• Active California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license (required)
• Venipuncture certification (required)
• Fluoroscopy permit (if applicable to role)
• Additional modality certifications (Mammography, CT, MRI) preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging and ensure proper image quality
• Follow established imaging protocols and safety standards
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Review images for clarity, positioning, and accuracy before submission
• Accurately label and document imaging studies
• Operate and maintain radiology equipment in safe working condition
• Assist providers with special imaging procedures when needed
• Respond to urgent or bedside imaging requests
• Maintain accurate and timely records in RIS/PACS systems
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, including ALARA principles
• Maintain adequate supplies and ensure readiness for procedures

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care and ensure comfort during procedures
• Monitor for and respond to any adverse reactions (e.g., contrast media)
• Maintain a professional and collaborative work environment
• Follow infection control and safety protocols

Requirements:

• Compliance with respiratory protection standards (N95/PAPR clearance if applicable)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a structured, secure environment
