This is an on-site position that requires the candidate to live within commutable distance to our health centers in Western Massachusetts. Position: Medical Billing Specialist Location: Greenfield, MA or Easthampton, MA after training period. Hours: 40 hours, Monday-Friday generally between 8:00am-4:30pm. Hours may vary depending on department needs. Exact schedule to be discussed at time of interview. Salary Range: $19.94 To $28.40 Hourly We are looking for an individual who can work independently, multi-task, and prioritize in a busy, fast paced multi-specialty billing office. Previous medical collections experience and general insurance billing practice knowledge preferred but not required. Job Responsibilities: Charge Entry: Responsible for accurate entry and processing of assigned charge entry within the Practice Management System. Research/Correction of Claims: Ensure Follow-up/Denial Claims are managed in an efficient and accurate manner. Patient Assistance: Ensure patient requests are managed appropriately and accurately. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years medical billing/coding within a Medical Practice High School Diploma or GED required Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent accuracy and attention to detail Additional Preferred Qualifications: Athena experience preferred If you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications, we strongly encourage you to apply and/ or inquire.
