We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join a manufacturing organization in Parsippany, New Jersey on a Long-term Contract basis. This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations in a structured environment. The role offers hands-on exposure to core accounting processes while partnering with internal teams to keep transactions organized, compliant, and timely.

Responsibilities:
• Process and classify financial transactions by applying accurate account coding and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Assist with daily accounting activities, including preparing journal entries and updating records within accounting software platforms.
• Reconcile account balances and investigate discrepancies to help ensure the accuracy of financial information.
• Support accounts payable tasks by reviewing invoices, matching documentation, and helping facilitate timely payment processing.
• Perform account analysis to identify unusual variances, resolve exceptions, and maintain reliable reporting data.
• Use systems such as Dynamics NAV, ERP applications, and Adobe Acrobat to manage records, review documents, and complete assigned accounting work.
• Maintain organized financial files and records to support audits, internal reviews, and routine reporting needs.• Experience or training in basic accounting principles, financial recordkeeping, and transaction processing.
• Working knowledge of account coding, journal entries, and account reconciliation practices.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems, including ERP environments such as Dynamics NAV.
• Ability to support accounts payable functions with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and standard office tools for reviewing and managing documentation.
• Analytical skills to examine account activity, identify discrepancies, and assist with problem resolution.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven setting.
